WHY GAZA’S MESSAGE IS THREATENING TO SOME

Early 2006, Palestinians in the West Bank and especially in the Gaza Strip voted overwhelmingly for Hamas in a transparent and a fair election that was monitored by the former US President Carter. In response, all Western Powers (European Union and the United States), the “Moderate” Arab Regimes, and the Israelis conspired to topple the newly elected government (see related articles section for details). As a first response, the Israeli government jailed all the elected Hamas’ representatives in the West Bank and Western Powers started all sorts of blockade against the freely elected government. I’m not a fan of Hamas or its agenda, however, I believe it’s critical to understand why these Arab leader joined the Western Powers & Israel in a conspiracy to oust the freely elected Palestinian Government. To simply say they are puppets in hands of Israel and Western powers is not good enough, there must be more to it than that.

Gulf Cooperation Council to create new currency

The breaking of their dollar pegs by the Gulf Arab nations is clearly dollar negative. Any inclusion of gold either as a part of the monetary basket, or in the reserves of the new GCC Central Bank will create additional demand for the precious metal.

From http://seekingalpha.com/article/112731-will-the-new-gcc-s......:

Gulf Cooperation Council leaders yesterday concluded their 29th annual summit meeting in Muscat, Oman with a final approval for the creation of a single currency for the six-nation economic bloc, still targeted for 2010.

Saudi Arabia is the largest economy in the GCC and boasts substantial gold reserves. But whether gold will be included in the currency basket has not yet been decided.

Israel's "bloodstained hands" stir up anger-Mubarak

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on Tuesday slammed what he called Israel's "savage aggression" on the Gaza Strip, and said its "bloodstained hands" were stirring feelings of rage among Arabs.

But Mubarak, who had been under pressure for Egypt's role in helping enforce Israel's blockade of Gaza that led to ending a six-month truce, also said part of the blame for the violence on the Islamist Hamas group.

Iran tells Arabs now is time to act over Gaza attacks

Iran's president told the Arab League, which began a meeting on Wednesday, it must act quickly to end Israeli attacks on Gaza Palestinians adding that setting up a committee or making speeches was not enough.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Step 1: Yank all oil money out of the US economy.

Step 2: While the US Government collapses from Step 1, and is unable to respond, do to Israel what Israel is doing to Palestine.

Paul: No such thing as an independent Israel

I don't think there is such a thing as an independent Israel doing anything, because I think no matter what they do its our money, its our weapons, and their not going to do it without us approving it and if they get into trouble we're going to bail them out, so there is no separation between the two.

Bush, Abbas Claim Progress in Mideast Peace Talks

U.S. President George Bush and visiting Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas say the Middle East peace process is heading in the right direction, even though the Palestinians and Israelis still do not have an agreement.

Webmaster's Commentary:

OK, we have two lame ducks here; Bush in the US and soon-to-be lame duck Olmert in Israel.

Benjamin Netanyahu, a front-running contender to become Israel's next Prime Minister, is just a little to the right of Atilla the Hun when it comes to the establishment of a Palestinian state.

The Gazan Palestinians are sick and starving, courtesy of the Israeli siege.

And Fatah and Hamas, the two political parties representing the Palestinians are clashing - sometimes physically - to the point where the real needs of the Palestinian people cannot be addressed because of the constant bickering.

There is no united front to negotiate for Palestinian rights and a Palestinian state, and that's just the way Israel wants to keep it.

To characterize the above as "progress" is one horrendous joke.

Mideast peace process 'irreversible' : Bush

US President George W. Bush said Friday that the Middle East peace talks are a hard but "irreversible" process as he met Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas one month before he leaves the White House.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Memo to George (thankfully leaving office soon) Bush: the only way for a peace process to be "irreversible" when both sides actually want peace.

Apparently, you have never understood the reality that what Israel wants is territory, not peace, and will use any means necessary to get it.

Israel opposition leader dismisses Syria talks

Israeli right-wing opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday dismissed peace efforts with Syria led by interim Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.

"The concessions made by the Olmert-Livni government to the Syrians do not and will not obligate a government that I shall head," Netanyahu, a former prime minister, told Israeli public radio.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Netanyahu has rarely encountered any kind of peace initiative he didn't absolutely loathe.

A Turkish investor, who identified himself as Sebat, took out 10 bright yellow ads in the Nov. 25 edition of Gulf News, the United Arab Emirates’ biggest newspaper, with the headline: “DIRECT FROM OWNER DISTRESS SALE!!!” Sebat said he used to be able to buy four or five properties at a time and sell them the next day for a profit of as much as 5 percent.

“There is panic in the market,” said Sebat, 52, who wouldn’t give his full name because he’s juggling 60 properties.

US seeks 300 billion dlrs from Gulf states: report

The United States has asked four oil-rich Gulf states for close to 300 billion dollars to help it curb the global financial meltdown, Kuwait's daily Al-Seyassah reported Thursday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And here is where our unquestioning support for Israel is really going to comer back and bite us on the ass.

By the way, has anyone but me noticed that in our dire economic situation, that Israel, who has taken from the United States more than four times the entire cost of the Apollo Moon Program, has not offered to return some of that money, or at the very least, scale back its yearly demand?

Israeli soldiers terrorise villagers in Zawata
November 8th, 2008

Three households were terrorised by Israeli soldiers in the village of Zawata on Friday night, 7th November.

At least twenty Israeli soldiers from the nearby military base at Shave Shomron stormed through the upper parts of the village on foot - throwing sound bombs and firing at family homes; surrounding houses and forcing families out into the night. Soldiers advised the invasion and terror tactics were a response to the discovery of a few small children burning a tyre on the nearby military road.

Rice to make yet another push for peace in Middle East

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will visit the Middle East next week to pursue efforts for a deal on the contours of Israeli-Palestinian peace before handing over to a new US administration.

"Secretary of State Rice will travel to Israel, the Palestinian Territories, Jordan and Egypt from November 5 to 9," just after US presidential election results are likely to be known, her deputy spokesman Robert Wood said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Regardless of who wins on Nov. 5th, she will still be a "lame duck" secretary of state. The timing here is very strange.

IS A PEACE SYMBOL ENOUGH TO CREATE A LASTING PEACE?

The monument, the gift of a Polish billionaire, was erected on the invisible seam between one of the Arab neighborhoods of East Jerusalem and the predominantly Jewish West. At the ceremony, there were ethereal moments, suggestive of a greater harmony, as the strains of an orchestra mingled with the Muslim call to prayer from countless minarets.

US Targets Peacemakers While Pakistan Battles American-Taliban

Is it really necessary that we let Bush and Cheney destroy another innocent country before they pretend to leave the stage after Nov. 4? Does this Nation, which fancies itself as a great defender of freedom and democracy, intend to allow them do to our ally Pakistan what they have done to Iraq and Afghanistan? If we do not feel extreme shame for what is being done in our names there then perhaps it is true that we are something less than human, merely thinking cattle.

Attack on US embassy in Yemen leaves 16 dead

Islamist militants attacked the US embassy in the Yemeni capital Sanaa with a car bomb and rockets on Wednesday, leaving 16 people dead, in the second strike on the high-security compound in six months.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I don't think those people like us any more.

Or is this another false flag to justify escalating the wars? Did 16 people die to distract us from the economy?

I mean, if the attack was done with rockets and a car bomb, how do they know "Islamist militants" did it?

Iran, Syria talks in Moscow amid stand-off with West

Russian diplomatic and military officials held talks with their Iranian and Syrian counterparts Friday, amid tensions with the West following Russia's conflict with Georgia last month.

Russian Navy commander Vladimir Vysotsky and his Syrian counterpart General Taleb al-Barri discussed stepping up Russia's use of the Tartus base in line with an increase in Russian naval missions, the reports said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Russia is sending a message, loudly and clearly, for the US and Israel to hear: just don't even think about a military "solution" to your issues with countries in the Middle East region you don't particularly like!"

Also, a Russian base at Tartus would give the Russians a permanent presence in the Mediterranean.

Red, White and Blue Storm Rising

In the book, "Red Storm Rising", World War Three starts when a fictionalized USSR, economically unable to purchase the oil products it needs, simply decides to take them. In order to conceal what is in essence a war of conquest, the fictionalized USSR manufactures a provocation by staging a fake terrorist attack on a symbolically important building in Moscow. Faked evidence is used to pin the blame on a target nation, and the fictionalized USSR starts a war on two fronts; a "just cause" war which masks a second front moving to grab the oil fields.

Arab Regimes Cautious, Public Eager for Rising Russia

Arab leaders are closely and quietly watching the unfolding military conflict between Russia and Georgia, while considering its political repercussions on the global scene and potential impact on the volatile Middle East. The Arab street, meanwhile, is openly backing a resurgent Russia and hopes to see the end of a Washington-centered unipolar world.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The basic philosophy of the Project for the New American Century was that the US was the only remaining superpower and should act like one.

Today we see the folly of that short-sighted and self-centered view.

The US is colluding in the trampling of democracy in Egypt

Back in 2005, when Mubarak was running for office for the first time in contested elections after 25 years in power, he made lofty campaign pledges that he would enact democratic reforms and repeal the decades-old emergency law. Not only has Mubarak overseen the extension of that law, which serves to severely curtail political expression in Egypt, he has overseen a period in which Egypt has started to move in reverse on the path to democracy.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The US doesn't care about the human rights policy of countries it supports it just wants those countries to do as they're told. There is no love on the part of this government for democracy abroad: it's all about the flow of money and resources.

And when some kind of violent social change happens and our "dictators du jour" can't keep a lid on things (as happened in Romania with Chauchescu, Iran with the Shah, Cuba with Batista, etc.), the US state department can't seem to understand precisely why it happened.

These events happen because when peaceful revolution is impossible, violent revolution is inevitable, at some point.
