Breaking up is (not) hard to do

So all along the watchtower, the princes of war keep their view. That spells balkanization all along. It's full spectrum dominance against the Asian energy security grid. The Pentagon well knows that AfPak is the key land bridge between Iran to the west and China and India to the east; and that Iran has all the energy that both China and India need. The last thing full spectrum dominance wants is to have the AfPak theater subjected to more influence from Russia, China and Iran.

Obama’s Prize tells world ‘War is Peace’

The Nobel Peace Prize was given to a man who, like a character in a George Orwell novel, kills in the name of peace. And as much as his doublespeak would like to drown out the cries of the victims of the sinister cadre of human rights abusers and war criminals that he supports, anyone with an elementary knowledge of current events knows that Obama’s hands are muddied by the muck his allies have thrown on the peoples of the world.

You would think Obama would at least try to compensate for his warmongering and support of bloodthirsty and vindictive foreign governments by rolling back the fascistic policies of the Bush administration.

You would be wrong.

The Evil Empire

The US government is now so totally under the thumbs of organized interest groups that “our” government can no longer respond to the concerns of the American people who elect the president and the members of the House and Senate. Voters will vent their frustrations over their impotence on the president, which implies a future of one-term presidents. Soon our presidents will be as ineffective as Roman emperors in the final days of that empire.

Understanding how nations create money and how the US can reclaim $1 trillion/year from banksters

Below is a concise and lucid explanation of how nations create money by economist John Hotson. This topic is at the heart of our economic problems, and required understanding for competent citizenry.

I’m among many writers who document that Americans are transferring unprecedented amounts of their hard-earned money to the oligarchy controlling our banks and casino-capitalism “investment” institutions. The solution is structurally simple for the public benefit of conservatively $1 trillion every year, and has been advocated by many of America’s sharpest historical minds. States can take control of their financial problems through state-owned banks; ending interest payments on their debt and earning profit by providing 2% mortgages for the good of the public.

Bricklayer shows up at his own funeral in Brazil

A Brazilian bricklayer reportedly killed in a car crash shocked his mourning family by showing up alive at his funeral.

Relatives of Ademir Jorge Goncalves, 59, had identified him as the victim of a Sunday night car crash in Parana state in southern Brazil, police said.

As is customary in Brazil, the funeral was held the following day, which happened to be the holiday of Finados, when Brazilians visit cemeteries to honor the dead.

What family members didn't know was that Goncalves had spent the night at a truck stop talking with friends over drinks of a sugarcane liquor known as cachaca, his niece Rosa Sampaio told the O Globo newspaper. He did not get word about his own funeral until it was already happening Monday morning.

Fort Hood: DoD Experimental PTSD Therapy Backfires?

Reposted (emphasis mine) from alexconstantine's blacklist.

[Major Hasan's] past training, paid for by the US Military, [was] at Virginia Tech University ... "...most likely” one of the US Department of Defenses top PSYOP training centers and where in April, 2007, it suffered the worst school massacre in US history....Even more interesting to note is that... [there] were three other “alleged” gunmen....

Major Hasan... [was] one of the originators of what is called the US Army's “Warrior Combat Reset Program” set up to help American soldiers ... [with PTSD], and which according to these reports led to his being at Fort Hood to “electronically prepare” an experimental group of US Soldiers for their return to the Iraq war zone....

So strong was the American Military and Intelligence establishments’ belief that only by “erasing” the previous “battle stained” memories of their Soldiers could they be made to continue killing and dying that in 2007 they contracted with Russia’s Psychotechnology Research Institute in Moscow to purchase a system [which] was used by the Soviet Military on Russian troops being redeployed to Afghanistan.

Unfortunately for the Americans, ... the previous Soviet experiments... had a very dangerous side-effect of “triggering immediate battle memories” instead of “erasing” them and resulting in masses of Russian troops ... to “erupt” in “immediate violence” which left an estimated 37 of them dead when they began (for no apparent reason) to begin firing upon each other....

Barack Obama: The Naked Emperor

By: David Icke

I am writing this in the last days of 2008 as I watch with dismay as vast numbers of people across the world, including many who should know better, have been duped by the mind-game called Operation Obama.

Even people with some understanding of the conspiracy have said things like: 'Well, at least he's not Bush' and 'Well, at least it's great to see such a new spirit of hope'. No, he's not Bush - he's potentially far more dangerous; and what is the use of a spirit of 'hope' if it's based on a lie? In fact, what use is 'hope' at all?

And this just in as I am writing… a massacre at Fort Hood. I know Fort Hood, it’s right outside of Austin. It’s one of America’s biggest military bases. Well let me tell you this is going to be a regular event. Do you want to know why? These men can’t feed their families. In some cases they can’t find their families and you sent them to kill people; women, children, men; who cares? They can’t live with themselves now so they are going to turn it on you. In former times, like at Ardennes, they didn’t know that fat guys in suits had sent them off to these bloody and muddy places.

Top Bailout Recipients Spent $71 Million On Lobbying In Year Since Bailout

Twenty-five top recipients of government bailout funds spent more than $71 million on lobbying in the year since they were rescued, an extensive review of federal lobbying records by the Huffington Post reveals.

The incident reportedly began at Fort Hood's theater and then moved to the Soldier Readiness Processing Center, Killeen City Public Information Officer Hillary Shine told Fox News. A graduation ceremony was scheduled to take place Thursday.

The warlords' president

The Obama administration insists the U.S. is fighting a "war of necessity" in Afghanistan. It has all kinds of rationales--keeping Americans safe, protecting Afghan civilians, liberating Afghan women, crushing the Taliban insurgency, keeping al-Qaeda from using Afghanistan as a base of operation.

But the collaboration between U.S. military and intelligence forces and the warlords, drug dealers and paramilitaries expose these justifications as a pretext for the real reason the U.S. won't bring its troops home from a country that has rejected their presence.

The U.S. wanted war in Afghanistan because it saw the September 11 attacks as an opportunity to pursue its imperial ambitions in Central Asia.

Fox Flu Story Denied by White House

Critical of the reported decision of the administration to use scarce vaccine on detainees, Fox News launched a series of reports including one headlined "Pentagon: Gitmo Detainees to Receive H1N1 Vaccine, Despite White House Claim."

When White House spokesman Robert Gibbs denied the Fox report, that network responded by publishing Mr. Gibbs' denial in a report headlined "White House Responds to Report Terror Suspects Get Priority Treatment for H1N1 Virus."

Fox included a video clip and transcript, which reads:

WHITE HOUSE PRESS SECRETARY ROBERT GIBBS: There is no vaccine in Guantanamo, and there's no vaccine on the way to Guantanamo.

QUESTION: So the Pentagon was wrong when they confirmed that on Friday?

GIBBS: I — I don't know what the Pentagon said. I — I know, in asking yesterday, whether or not there was any vaccine there or whether there was any vaccine that was on its way, the answer to both those questions was — was no.

QUESTION: Is that because of the White House stopped it or...

GIBBS: No, that was because there wasn't any there, and there wasn't any on the way.

(*QUESTION: "I thought this administration has banned the use of torture in Guantanamo . Has that policy been reversed ?" )

Obama’s Outreach to Muslim World Teetering

From Pakistan – where Secretary of State Hillary Clinton got an earful of growing anti-U.S. sentiment last week – to the West Bank and East Jerusalem – where Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has successfully defied Washington’s demands that he freeze Jewish settlement activity – events appear to have strayed far from the president’s original game plan.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Perhaps what is characterized as Obama's "game plan" for the Middle East is something radically different from what the writer of this article has outlined.

What Obama is actually achieving in the Middle East is what one could have imagined would be happening in a third term of George Bush; continued instability through escalated occupation in Afghanistan and Pakistan, Israel destroying the Palestinians, and a war with Iran which could very well involve Russia on Iran's side.

The US is desperately broke, with many in power believing that another global war will get the US out of its financial predicaments. They also think that it will distract many Americans from the reality that their lives have been destroyed economically through no fault of their own, with good-paying jobs having been outsourced, and no jobs to go to except those paying minimum wage.

But unlike other times when the US used war as a means to get out of its financial predicaments, we don't have the manufacturing capabilities to support a victory in another global war, because manufacturing has been largely outsourced.

India is preparing for possible war with China and Pakistan

India is preparing the military for possible war with China and Pakistan. India and Russia have agreed two military pacts, including a 10-year deal on weapons, aircraft, and maintenance contracts potentially worth at least $5 billion, Indian defense officials said. India plans to spend $30 billion over the next five years to buy modern weapons systems and attack planes.

The agreement will certainly help as Russia needs a market and India needs a strategic reassurance to sort out relations that were going sour. India also wants to use the renewed focus on Russia as a counterweight to China, while a strong presence in South Asia could help Moscow keep an eye on China. India fears China is trying to encircle it as they jostle for resources and global influence.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Perhaps, as in the US, a war is considered by the Indian leadership as a way of distracting its population from the massive societal inequities brought about by its growth.

Goldman takes on new role: taking away people's homes

Goldman spent years buying hundreds of thousands of subprime mortgages, many of them from some of the more unsavory lenders in the business, and packaging them into high-yield bonds. Now that the bottom has fallen out of that market, Goldman finds itself in a different role: as the big banker that takes homes away from folks such as the Beckers.

Joining other Wall Street firms that bought millions of subprime mortgages, Goldman companies have gone to courts from California to Florida seeking approval to foreclose on the homes of middle- and lower-income Americans who couldn't keep up with their loans' soaring monthly payments.

Webmaster's Commentary:

These subprime loans, with their teaser rates which were going to balloon way out of control, should have been regulated.

But regulating the banks was something the former, and current, administration had - and have - no interest in doing.

Webmaster's Opinion on Obama-Front Man for New World Order

Since the creation of the CIA by Congress in 1947, the CIA grew quickly into a very powerful secret element of this government. At the end of his two terms as president, President Eisenhower warned against the increasing power of the military-industrial complex.

What President Eisenhower failed to warn against was the insidious, well hidden power of the private central bankers of the world, namely the Federal Reserve Bank and the Bank of England. Neither the Federal Reserve Bank nor the Bank of England are departments of the federal government. Each is a cartel of private banks. In fact, to the best of my knowledge, about 75% of the Federal Reserve Bank is owned by the Bank of England.

Reasons to Doubt the Official Story about the 9/11 Attacks

Reasons to Doubt the Official Story about the 9/11 Attacks
The Bush Regime

by Andrew Mills

The more you study the facts and the circumstantial evidence surrounding the 9/11 attacks, the more you doubt the official explanation of the attacks given in the 9/11 Commission Report. Most all the necessary information is, or has been, available through the major media. It's just a matter of pulling it all together and organizing the data. When you do that, you are left with major doubts about the official story and you begin to suspect that some of our officials may have been involved, at least in the sense that they had fore-knowledge of the attacks and just let them happen.

Marijuana growers upend hard-luck California town

Reporting from Hayfork, Calif. — Education has long been preached as a way to keep kids away from drugs. It's the walk to school that has Supt. Tom Barnett worried.

This hardscrabble Northern California town has become a hotbed for medical marijuana farming. Kids stroll much of the year past pungent plants flourishing in gardens and alleys. The red-and-black clad Timberjacks football team moved its halftime huddle on a recent Friday night to avoid the odor of marijuana smoke wafting over the gridiron from nearby houses. Some students talk openly of farming pot after graduation, about the only opportunity in this depressed timber town.

Criminal Rothschilds

"If my sons did not want wars, there would be none." ~ Gutle Schnaper, Mayer Amschel Rothschilds wife

I am one of those who do not believe the national debt is a national blessing... it is calculated to raise around the administration a moneyed aristocracy dangerous to the liberties of the country

Bail-Out and the FED Banking Scam

Who do the banks owe money to? Are those hedge funds affiliated with
the very banks that were bailed out? Prof. Chossudovsky explains. He
emphasizes the bailouts will not help the crisis, but will exacerbate
it. He explains that to pay for Obama's budget defecits, public roads
and parks will be sold off to private companies and banks, who will
charge user fees to citizens, and that these user fees will be used to
pay back the bailout money to the government. In short, the government
is helping the banks finance their own debt. He also says that bailed
out banks are using the bailout money to buy up assets in the real
economy ( such as industry, tech, & airline stocks) at rock bottom
prices, which will dramatically change the ownership structure in

US Workers Starved Into Service

It’s hard not to wonder what would happen if, instead of dutifully reading from the Pentagon’s script on October 13, the media had done their job and informed the public about the real nature of the ‘service’ that potential enlistees were signing up for. Maybe if they had, those recruitment officers would not have been quite so busy recruiting – and stealing the lives of – unsuspecting young people in desperate need of employment.

Why We Carve Pumpkins, Not Turnips

Big orange veggies are pretty strange as far as holiday symbols go, but there are actual historical reasons that we carve pumpkins every Halloween.

Like Halloween itself, the display and carving of pumpkins – from the lanterns placed inside to the scary faces we pick – has pagan origins that morphed with the passage of time as well as the crossing of an ocean.

They're creepy and they're kooky, mysterious and spooky. But Halloween's creepiest creature customs didn't appear out of thin air, not even the ghosts. Here we offer up some real science and history of the scary stars of Oct. 31.

Report slams bank links to clusterbomb production

Leading banks have funded arms manufacturers, whose products include cluster bombs, to the tune of $5 billion in the past two years, despite an international accord to ban such weapons, a study said Thursday.

The top five loan providers were Bank of America, Citigroup , JP Morgan, Barclays and Goldman Sachs, the study said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"After all, it's never going to be our kids getting blown to bloody bits by a cluster bomb; just other people's kids on the other side of the planet, and those kids probably shouldn't be breathing anyway!" - official banking industry souse.

US Rich-Poor Income Gap World's Most Extreme

Income inequality in the US is now the most extreme of all countries. The 2008 OECD report 'Income Distribution and Poverty in OECD Countries' concludes that the US is the country with the highest inequality and poverty rate across the OECD and that since 2000 nowhere has there been such a stark rise in income inequality as in the US. The OECD finds that in the US the distribution of wealth is even more unequal than the distribution of income.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The question is, when the American people really wake up, and figure the amount of injury done to their lives by this and the preceding administration, how is that anger going to be expressed, and against whom?

SWINE FLU VACCINE OCT 2009: LICENSED AND UNTESTED

Great article about Swine Flu.

This has been a big week for swine flu vaccines. With the money machine in full swing to get the untested swine flu vaccine out to the public ASAP, it's hard to keep up with the level of deception in mainstream media. But we'll give it a try.

One final important revelation about the AP article, and perhaps the agenda of the Director of the NIH:

"Younger children simply don't have as mature an immune system," Fauci explained. "So a first dose of vaccine against a flu strain they've never experienced acts as an introduction for their immune system, and a booster shortly thereafter revs up that immune response."

United loses luggage of 'United Breaks Guitars' guy

The Halifax-based singer-songwriter became an Internet sensation for his music video "United Breaks Guitars," a folk ballad chronicling his yearlong battle for compensation after a United Airlines baggage handler broke his guitar.

The video nabbed nearly 6 million views on YouTube and prompted the airline to promise it would do better.

But when Carroll flew into Denver International Airport on Sunday, he learned that United had lost his bag.

New US Bases on the Black Sea

The emergence of NATO bases on the Black Sea comes in addition to the military installations the West already has on the Baltic Sea and which effectively puts Russia in a bind.

In another alarming sign, cadets at the West Point military academy are now undergoing a crash course of Russian language and culture. Just like they started learning Arabic three years prior to the US-led invasion of Iraq.

Preparing to grab the Caspian oil wealth, Washington will do this leaning on its bases in Romania and Bulgaria and by stoking up instability in the Caucasus. Why? To be able send its peacekeepers there to ensure the safe transportation of Caspian oil and gas. And here the American contingent in Romania and Bulgaria may come in very handy indeed.

National Wave of Privatization Scandals and Disasters Ignored By Media, Concealed From Public

The real costs of the $17 trillion bankster bailout, along with the untold trillions more spent for wars in the Middle East and America's global empire have come home. States and counties can no longer pay for the ordinary functions of government. Cities and towns can't repair streets and bridges, maintain water systems or fund libraries. Since the war and the bailouts are massively unpopular, you could say the ultimate cause of it all is a lack of democracy.

But the solution local and state governments, encouraged by Wall Street and the business class automatically reach for is even less democratic, and far more costly. That so-called solution is privatization of public assets and even the core functions of government.

Obama’s Defense Bill Restarts Gitmo Tribunals

With less than three months left to make good on his promise to close the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay within one year and virtually no effort made so far to do so, President Barack Obama has signed the military funding bill which will effectively restart military tribunals at the facility.

Today’s move finalizes a plan concocted by the president in May, which would make a handful of cosmetic changes to the tribunal system, giving detainees a little control over their legal counsel and barring certain types of hearsay evidence.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Unflipping believable!

The only reason for military tribunals is that most of the cases against these incarcerated prisoners of war would fall completely apart, under normal American jurisprudence.

Prosecutors Turn Tables on Student Journalists

For more than a decade, classes of students at Northwestern University’s journalism school have been scrutinizing the work of prosecutors and the police. The investigations into old crimes, as part of the Medill Innocence Project, have helped lead to the release of 11 inmates, the project’s director says, and an Illinois governor once cited those wrongful convictions as he announced he was commuting the sentences of everyone on death row.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is intimidation, pure and simple.

This is an attempt at vindictive payback for the fact that 11 inmates were cleared by the work of this university team, demonstrating the glaringly sloppy work on the part of the prosecution staff which got these people convicted in the first place.

US emerges from recession

The US economy has emerged from its deepest slump since the Second World War, new figures showed today.

The world's largest economy expanded at a 3.5pc annual pace in the third quarter of the year, marking the end of a recession that has cost 7.2 million American jobs and prompted the most radical Government response since the Depression of the 1930s. The figure topped the prediction of Wall Street analysts who had pencilled in growth of 3.2pc.

My Life as a NAZI

Yeah - anyway - I need to get back to work. I'm getting too goddam old to carry a rifle to the satisfaction of the U.S. military in over 130 nations - so joining up is out. See - the justification for the war isn't of prime importance on the Sean Hannity show - unless "War on Terror" answers all your questions - it just doesn't do much for me since I'm educated.

Oh well, I'll keep you updated on what it's like to be a NAZI - so far it's pretty comfortable outwardly while inwardly I'm so torn I could scream.

Bay Bridge rod snaps, San Fran commuters in traffic nightmare

The San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge has been closed indefinitely after a rod installed during last month's emergency repairs snapped, causing a traffic nightmare for the 26,000 motorists who cross the landmark span every day.

Engineers on Wednesday will evaluate the damage caused when the rod and metal brace fell into the 73-year-old bridge's westbound lanes during Tuesday evening's rush hour.

The drumbeats of war continue on despite the crumbling infastructure.
